Abze is a food, culture, and events company built on one idea: the people growing, cooking, and building African food should be connected to the people who want it. The name Abze means "here" in Tigrinya (a major language in Eritrea).

Meet Our Founder
Martha Haile launched Abze to tell the stories of the entrepreneurs and visionaries changing the food system across Africa. After building startups and consulting early-stage agtechs across Africa for the past 10 years, she saw an opportunity to bring the voices of these builders and creators to the world. Through Abze, Martha seeks to highlight the creativity and innovation shaping food and agriculture across the continent, offering a fresh and modern perspective on its transformation.
